Nice write-up on Rocket by As if. No way.

It reads:

Rocket Recordings
A Bristol based label, Rocket Recordings‘ back catalogue consists of ambient, psych rock, krautrock and even some techno. I was first introduced to the label through NTS Radio’s Field Work, who played one of the label’s most well known artists Gnod, a British krautrock band from Salford Manchester. Their work ranges from sample heavy drone, such as ‘Collateral Damage’ from their 2014 album, featured below:

To glitchy, electro/techno-esque soundscapes such as their track ‘Spinal Fluid’ from the same album:

Their 2016 album ‘Mirror’, which is wholly psych rock, shows how versatile the band really are. The album is jarring and discordant, wretched and angst-filled;

The musical diversity that Gnod show off is indicative of Rocket Recs’ attitude as a label, in that not only are their artists diverse, but also their signings cover a wide palette of sounds...

After GNOD's stellar live show in Bristol on the weekend, with both them & Housewives blowing the roof off the Old Malt House, we're delighted to see that Cacophonous Sarcophagus's Adam Reid has posted the GNOD live set up on You Tube.

The nights strobe light action is curiosity of Rocket's Johnny O.

Enjoy!!!

Echoes and Dust reviews Gnod live in Liverpool

It reads:

The Buyers Club, Liverpool | April 30, 2016
I’ve spent the past week more or less in isolation slaving away for the biggest test of my life. The anxiety boils inside my skin like sulphuric acid eating away at me; just going the shop fills me with disdain for the recklessly ego-centric and inconsiderate moral abandon of society. Guys who go out to get “pussy”, classrooms full of students who don’t wanna learn and can’t be taught. Small units of people, fucking people, alienating each other.

Bigoted, divided, gentrified people. I take the bus and some sort of intoxicated reprobate attempts to sneak on behind, the bus sound some sort of distress signal; this guy is to fucked up and poor to take the bus so, the driver blasts a siren until the guy fucked off. A sign of the times...
