They say:
The Petbrick, duo formed by Iggor Cavalera and Wayne Adams, is literally a noise project. The musicians themselves, on audio sharing networks, claim to create "horrible noise". He who writes to you disagrees, for he thinks it is a beautiful and thought-provoking cluster of noises.
What you hear on the group's first full album, titled "I" (2019), is extreme musicality, an industrialist who can shake off clues or put the people in black to fuss. But the duo's sound goes beyond labels, creating mesmerizing and disturbing moods by bringing together elements of noise, repeatability, nervous beats, a la kraut rock experimentalism, hardcore urgency and metallic weight.
While Iggor (former Sepultura / Cavalera Conspiracy / Mixhell / Soulwax) is in charge of punching the drum kit, Wayne (Big Lad / Death Pedals / Johnny Broke) takes care of the electronic trachitans that sustain the music bluster. It is not a simple process to digest, because it carries a creative freedom that brings diversity to the work. And, as we know nowadays, what doesn't fit into bothersome standards...
